Smooth and perforated cones

INTERCIMAR plastic cones are intended for use in high speed winders with a surface finish which ensures optimum grip of the thread on the cone without compromising quality.

For natural fibre yarns with mixtures, or for artificial fibre or synthetically cut yarns, we supply plastic cones with the following conicities: 1º10’, 1º51’, 2º35’, 4º20’, 5º57’ and 9º15’.

The range of cones with a 3º30' conicity are mainly for polyester and polyamide filament yarns.

Smooth cones for single use or reusable internally are manufactured in various thicknesses covering the different needs of our customers.

Perforated plastic cones are for dyeing and/or vaporised winding of any type of yarn. They are made of original polypropylene with a wide range of densities in accordance with the parameters of the dyeing process. We can also add a mineral filler to reinforce the cone when dyeing yarn at high temperatures, therefore extending the life of the cone.

Our cones are compressible up to 30% of the original size and fit together from 20mm to 60mm. This gives a significant cost reduction in the dyeing process as well as optimising the autoclave capacity and ensuring the best placement of the bobbins, when compared with the traditional formats.

In the following table the technical specifications of our family of plastic cones can be found. For each size, we can supply either smooth or perforated cones with different densities. We also indicate whether the cones are open-ended or bullnosed.
